UTM Study Abroad Fair is an education fair which will give insight for those who plan to study abroad. Study abroad program will allow student to spend one or two semesters at universities abroad and take courses in a regular semester with credit transfer opportunity. The program encouraged students to study at universities partners all over the world. The two days exhibition held in UTM Johor Baharu Campus successfully attracted 26 participating institutions. Besides Japan, participants were from South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, India, China, Canada, Australia, Austria, United Kingdom, Spain, Finland, France and Germany. 700 students attended the first day of SAF 2017. Students can interact directly from the participating institutions to gain the first hand information on the respective international programs.
Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International), Prof. Zainuddin Abdul Manan officiated the fair on the first day. Later in the evening all participating institutions joined a sightseeing around the new developing city of Nusajaya and Johor Bahru city centre before ending the day with a tasty dinner. Prof. Nordin Yahya, Senior Director of UTM International presented a certificate to each participating institutes and universities. For the last day SAF 2017 fair ended with a luncheon attended by UTM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahid Omar.
