University swimming club hosts farewell party for athletes heading for Rio

Four alumni, consisting of Y. Shimizu, K. Yasuda, K. Tanamura, and T. Yamada; plus M. Kaneko, 2nd year at the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences, from the University of Tsukuba are representing Japan at the Summer Olympic/Paralympic Games in Rio. A farewell party sponsored by the University swimming club was held at the Shinjuku New City Hotel on May 28th (Sat). One of the alumni will be participating in the men's 50m & 100m freestyle, 3 alumni in men’s water polo while M. Kaneko will be in the men's 200m backstroke category. Let us all cheer for them!
