Freshman offered to join paracanoe at the Rio Paralympics

Monika Seryu, newly-minted freshman at the University of Tsukuba's School of Health and Physical Education, received an informal offer to the Rio Paralympic Games based on her performance in the recent world tournament in Germany. The category of paracanoe is adapted officially for the first time for this year's Paralympic Games. Let us all cheer for her - as we also look ahead to the Tokyo Paralympic Games in four years' time. Go for it, Monika-san!
