Go go Tsukuba athletes! Mr. NAGASE Takanori, a graduate student, won a gold medal in Judo at the Tokyo Olympics.

On July 27, Mr. NAGASE Takanori, a 2015 graduate of University of Tsukuba School of Health and Physical Education, won a gold medal in the men's 81kg judo category at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
In addition, Ms. KAJIHARA Yuumi ( 2nd year student of the Master’s Program in Physical Education ) will be competing in the women's Madison (two-person team), Track Cycling today, August 6, and the women’s Omnium on August 8, aiming for a gold medal. She is Japan’s first world champion of cycling world championships 2020. Please cheer her on!
