Dr. Kameda's research team visits Brazil to gather data/亀田敏弘准教授の研究チームがブラジルで研究活動を開始

Associate Professor Toshihiro Kameda of the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems and three of his students organized a trip to Brazil ( from Feb. 20 to Feb. 25, 2017 ) to conduct research work on a project in collaboration with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) of Japan. The purpose is for R & D of an ultra-low-cost satellite platform. The team needs to gather data on the radio waves emitted from the ITF-2 ultra-small satellite released to the Japanese Experiment Module (JEM, or "Kibo") of the International Space Station - which are received in Brazil, the opposite side of Japan.
For this project, Director Laerte Sodré Júnior of the University of Sao Paulo's Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences assisted the research team by setting up an antenna on their Sao Paulo campus.
システム情報系構造エネルギー工学域亀田敏弘准教授と3名の学生が、ブラジルでの研究活動を開始しました。
これは、宇宙ステーション「きぼう」日本実験棟へ放出された超小型衛星ITF-2から発せられた電波を、日本の裏側であるブラジルで受信し、日本では受信できない時間帯の衛星の状況を報告するというもので、つくば産学連携強化プロジェクト（筑波大学・産業技術総合研究所合わせ技ファンド）に採択されたプロジェクトです。
今回の実験のため、サンパウロ大学宇宙科学研究所のLaerte Sodré Júnior所長より、サンパウロ大学内にアンテナを設置するご協力を頂きました。
