Study in Japan Fair Held in Brazil and Chile

A Study in Japan Fair was held at Instituto Federal Sao Paulo (IFSP) and Universidade Estadual de Campinas in Brazil, and Universidad de Chile in Chile, from November 22 to 25. The fair has been organized by the University of Tsukuba as part of the Coordinator for Study in Japan Project sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) since last year. A total of 27 universities and educational institutions in Japan cooperated to provide information on studying in Japan.

A briefing session on scholarship was provided by Japan’s diplomatic offices and the Japan Student Service Organization (JASSO) at each university, and it was filled to capacity respectively. Moreover, universities in attendance set their booths to give information on their universities. International students who have experience of studying in Japan also attended the fair to talk about their experiences.

Consultation booths were set up by universities in attendance at the fair. High school students who visited the booths had an opportunity to consult directly with the universities’ staff about academic matters.

The number of people who attended the fair is as follows.

► Universidad de Chile, Santiago, Chile, Nov. 25 (Fri): 400 people
