Japan Day 2017 has held in MJIIT-UTM

In conjunction with the 60th anniversary of Malaysia and Japan diplomatic relations, MJIIT UTM organised a 5th Japan Day on 9 November 2017, officiated by Japanese ambassador, His Excellency Makio Miyagawa and Minister of Higher Education, Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh at Dewan Azman Hashim, UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus.
This time concurrently organised were the Japan Graduates Symposium (JGS) 2017 with a special presentations by Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, JSPS, JST, etc.
Concurrently the Japanese cultural activities were held such as Japanese Language Speech Contest for school students, Origami Art Contest, Workshop and Cultural activities such as traditional games, yukata wearing, calligraphy and name writing. For the Japanese Martial Arts demonstration, there were Budo Seminar (briefing) before the performances of Kyudo, Aikido, Shorinji Kempo, Jukendo, Karatedo, Naginata, Judo, Kendo, Ygyu Shinkage-Ryu Heiho Kenjutsu, Suio-Ryu Aia Kenpo and Okinawa Gojyu-Ryu Bujyutsu. Lastly a special Sumo demonstration which gained a lot of excitement and admiration from the audiences concluded the Japan Day 2017.
