University of Tsukuba Uzbekistan Alumni Association Lunched

The University of Tsukuba Uzbekistan Alumni Association was established on August 3, 2015 during the first Alumni meeting held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the same day.
In this meeting, Dr. Caroline Benton, Vice President of the University of Tsukuba, offered congratulatory messages to the participants and Prof. Masaki Ono, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in charge of the Central Asia region, gave a speech for the ceremony. Meanwhile, Dr. Rikhsieva Gulchehra Shavkatovna, Vice-rector of Scientific Work of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, delivered a speech of appreciation for the University of Tsukuba and shared experiences of her visit to Tsukuba.
The alumni talked about their student life, in particular, their unforgettable experiences in Japan one by one. This meeting served as a good opportunity to get to know each other and build their relationships.
This alumni network is expected to grow by using T-Net or other SNS.
2015年８月３日，ウズベキスタン・タシケントで筑波大学OB・OG会が初めて開催され，同日「筑波大学ウズベキスタン留学生同窓会」が発足しました。
OB・OG会では，本学キャロライン・ベントン副学長よりの祝辞が披露され、筑波大学中央アジア地域責任者の小野正樹教授からの挨拶後，タシケント国立東洋学大学学術担当グルチェフラ副学長から，自身の筑波大学訪問時のご経験を交えながら，本学への御礼の挨拶がありました。
同窓生から一人ずつ，留学中の勉学やキャンパス生活にまつわる経験・失敗談が披露された後，参加者同士で活発な議論が交わされ交流を深めました。
今後，ソーシャルネットワークの利用等を通じてOB・OGのネットワークがますます拡大することが期待されます。
