University of Tsukuba Moscow Alumni Association Established

The University of Tsukuba Moscow Alumni Association was established on July 22, 2015 with the first Alumni meeting held in Moscow, Russia on the same day.
There were 14 participants, including seven alumni living in Moscow, five former international students at the University of Tsukuba, and two students from the University of Tsukuba studying in Moscow.
Vice –President Caroline Benton of the University of Tsukuba paid tribute to their global activities.
The association aims to develop friendship between Japan and Russia, provide support for students from the University of Tsukuba studying in Russia, and promote networking among Alumni who are related to Russia.
The association also aims expected to strengthen educational and research exchanges between Russia and the University of Tsukuba.
2015年７月22日，ロシア・モスクワで筑波大OB・OG会が初めて開催され，同日「筑波大モスクワ校友会」が発足しました。
OB・OG会へは，現在モスクワ在住の筑波大OB・OG7名と，筑波大への留学経験者５名，モスクワへ留学中の現役筑波大生２名の総勢14名が参加し，親交を深めました。
またOB・OG会にあわせて，キャロライン・ベントン国際担当副学長からは，世界を舞台に活躍する筑波大OB・OGへの敬意を表した祝辞が送られました。
同日発足した筑波大モスクワ校友会は，日露両国の友好発展や，ロシア留学中の現役学生のサポート，ロシアに関係する筑波大OB・OG間のネットワーク構築などを目的としています。
筑波大モスクワ校友会のサポートを受け，本学とロシアとの教育・研究交流がますます盛んになることが期待されます。
